I've been told several times by several other people that there is one. And they're pretty knowledgable people too.

It's been awhile, and I don't think this was labeled /AMG but it was a 4matic E series wagon at one of the events last year.

looking at the photo almost confirmed not AMG by engine type / small rims etc...

That is a HOT looking C55 in the photo though (Oh thats mine pre flat emblem) 8)

Nope it has been done, it was made in 99-01 i beleave. Very few were produced but it was done. The reason they dont do it for the W211 is because the current 4matic system would break like a twig with the torque

Yeah, that's what I figured out not too long ago. Kind of interesting too. I kind of wish they went the AMG/4Matic route for at some models that aren't the ML/R.
