I'm guessing the C55 is faster, but I'm not sure how much faster. I assume the supercharger will help the C32 sustain higher hp/tq #s longer across the power band compared to the V8. Any thoughts?

I'd say you guess right, Going through all the reads, the C55 is overall a bit quicker and faster, despite any weight differential. I believe some published numbers at 13.3-5 and 13.5-7+ 1/4's respectively. I did kinda race a freind in his C32 2004, and had a definite edge but we were toying around not from stop and really competing.

my take on C32 vs C55.... C55 is definately faster then a stock C32.. especially if the weather is warmer then 70 deg. far.!! From exprience, the problem with the C32 is that it suffers from heat soak after periods of sitting and not moving with a warmed up motor. Also, the C55 has a major torque advantage over the C32. Now a chip and pulleyed C32 is a different story....but still when suffering from heatsoak, even a chip and pulleyed C32 isnt that much faster then a stock C55!!

Agreed benzo,

I am checking into the chip for my C55, supposedly pretty good advantage on it. pricing was not so good, initially a $2,500 one but I am trying to get good increase for much less. I got a response from Brabus for the 430 hp upgrade but they want $28k yikes, for that I will trade it in for a E55 8)

I have a 2003 c32 and last week I raced a 2005 c55....his car was stock, my car has 19 inch TSW wheels, renntech springs. He had two people (him and passenger), I had 3 people (me and two friends). Anyways, we did like 10 runs; from a stop, from a roll, from 20mph, highway runs from 40mph, from 60mph....
Basically the c32 was ahead until 60-70mph. By 80mph, the c55 was pulling ahead and by 100mph the c55 was 1 car length ahead. Since we both had pretty good launches out the hole, wheel spin was not an issue. We both concluded that the c32 was a faster car up until 60mph, but damn that c55 has soo much power - it passed me at 80 and just walked away....
BUT considering I had an extra passenger in my car....who knows!

Would be very interesting to see if you had one less passenger in the car! I think that the two are pretty much the same down the line - I just think they drive slightly differently. I was only able to test drive the C32 once before buying our C55 but I could defintiely say that it was a very fun car to drive - and for some reason felt a little bit more responsive and light on its feet. The C55 on the other hand, seemed a little more laid back. Both great cars.

as expected

I believe that the C55 is a little fast. But I am unsure.

well, it definitely will be because of the extra hp and torque. off the line it might be the same depending on the condition, but once get going the C55 should win every time against the stock C32.

i ran my friends C55 at the track... we both ran some crappy times... but i managed to pull off a 13.2 while he pulled off a 13.5...both of us with about an equal launch. I did manage to pull off a 12.9 by the end of the night though. I was watching my vids earlier and i realized i had no wheelspin but I could have done a lot better if I had launched harder. Oh well... ill return to the track soon.

damn my 1.99 60ft time... i know if i bring it down to 1.7 (and i probably could have if i had launched a lot harder then I did that night at the track) then i could hit somehwere around the 12.6-12.7 area!!! tahts it im gunna try to go back to the track on wednesday!!!

what type of products are available for C32 to help minimize heat soak? i know Vaeth has a new intercooler but i think they are expensive and hard to find. i thought EVOsport was going to bring some new cooling modifications to the market? hopefully soon.

how about an aquamist water injection? feasible, and affordable? i just want more consistency for power and also better lognevity.

btw, what are you C32 guys running as oil temps when warmed up? i usually run about 85-low 90's.

you could just spray CO2 onto the intercooler with an Ntercooler spray kit from NX!!! Im still bugging RENNTech about developing an I/C upgrade.

I still agree with everyone.
