This course used up just about every foot of the runways, really long course and easy to follow. Gave me a good chanct to work on car control instead of just trying to find my way around and get lost. This was my last run and it was clean. Later today I hope to post an earlier run, one with lots of tire noise and some drifting. Missing a few gates too.

Cool, that camera set up worked really well. She still sounds great!

Were you in 2nd the whole run?

Traction control off and tran in M mode, first gear all the way. Second gear just dogged it too much. It was very hard to modulate the throttle, it seemed to surg all by itself once in a while. I did some of the steering with the throttle but it was not easy to be consistant.
One thing for sure, the self learning TCU sure learned some aggressive schit that day. Had to keep an eye on it for the ride home.

The plywood block has plexiglass side pieces that fit real snug over the center console. I strapped it to the lower seat frame to keep it in place. Custom cut down tripod bolted to ply also. Solis as a rock but not solid enoufg for my hi def camera.

The camera shown is the first camera I bought. The Sony FX-1 will require a much stiffer mount, especially in the RS with it's R compound tires. You can see a lot of distortion of the upcoming cones because of the huge amounts of heat coming off the hood. I could not really review the runs at the track to correct that because of the strong sunlight. Camera really needed to be higher up in the car. At the end of the run where I turn my head left to check the time I would get this huge blast furnace heat wave coming from the cats and exhaust system below the car.
I will prob never take that beast to autox again. Hopefully I will get my hi def camera mounted into the RS for the 22nd. There are studs welded into the floor in the rear for a roll bar and those should be solid enough. I could also get a Porsche roof rack (yes, even the GT3 RS has the mounting points), but the camera really needs to be inside to capture the handwork on the steering wheel. It's really helpful to review the runs to pick up on my mistakes. I had a run where I thought I blew only one gate, upon review I blew 3!!

do you have a harness bar in the RS? If not I would order a harness bar then mount the camera to that... should be pretty solid
