front seat controls - ?

When I use the controls on the passenger side door to adjust the seat position (front - rear), I notice the head-rest height also adjusts. Anyone else experience this? I don't understand the practical use of this feature. Unless there is a problem with my seat controls?

On the C55 it does the same, and its annoying, any seat adjustment upper or lower seat changes, the darn headrest goes up until its all the way up.

the head rest goes up when you move the seat back...it's the way they designed it for some reason. This goes for all the MB w/ powerseats that has power headrest.

My guess is that they assume if the person needs that much space they are very tall and would need the headrest to be higher for their need too. :?:

I think this is valid only for a few models .... THIS is not the case with my SL - maybe only with "older" models ?? Was not the case even with my old R230 / 2002 .....

On both of my vehicles there is a specific knob which adjust the headrest height.
