Anybody read the review of the CLS55...

in European Car? I'm tempted to put a deposit down, but I prefer the rear of the E55 to the "puckered" up rear of the CLS. I'm still holding out for more news on the next AMG E class...

I've only got 4K on the E55 and it is just starting to feeling broken in...loving every minute I hit the accelerator.

PS...There must be a sale on AMG lettering, because I've seen 3 MB's tonight (2 CLK430's and 1 ML320) with AMG badges. I still have a CLK430 and I couldn't get myself to get an AMG badge...I just feel it is kind of disrespecting the CLK55...IMO. I'd respect the owner more if they debadge the car...to each his own.

I agree with you on badging - I have a pet peeve about people rebadging non-amg cars with AMG badging.... but I guess its worse if somebody completely rebadged it... for example took a C230 and put on C55 badges for no reason.

At my gym, I know of a guy with an "S55"...unfortunately it has S430 rims and single exhaust...not even an AMG bodykit, too. Sad...but his ride...he just won't have the push of the Kompressor when he hits the accelerator...he doesn't know what he is missing.

My parents have a 04 S430 and I've driven it...its a boat on wheels and from "D" it feels like I'm towing a barge...you got to downshift to get the revs up to get anywhere fast...unlike our Beast...just tap and go.
