Mustang Kill

I was coming home last night in my '04 E55, and a guy in a what looked to be a Mustang V6(it was) pulled up next to me at the stoplight. It was a nice night last night so I had my windows down, and he was with his girlfriend and they had the top down and he yelled over to me, he pal, lets see what the German piece of crap can do(I believed that he didnt know that the vehicle was an E55). The light turns green I push my foot to floor. I instantly get him of the line, and by the time we are 10 secondes into it, he is 10 car lengths behind me at least, and I was still pulling ahead, so I let off at about 110MPH, and about 20 secondes later to my arrival to the next stoplight he pulls up next to me again, and said, hey what the hell is that car? I simply said, AMG, and drove off. When he pulled up next to me he looked so damn confused and embaressed that some guy in a Mercedes just kicked the hell out of his "tough" Mustang. Nothing really that interesting, just want to let you guys know that if a Mustang ever pulls up to you and you feel like tearing him up, do it.

Nice kill. Those new V6 mustangs only hover around the 200hp mark. The Cobras are a different story - They are rated at 390hp but with proof of dyno tests, they make between 400-415hp stock.

Still no match for an E55, but for us C32 owners, I think the 03+ Cobras will have the edge.

I think even the cobra's are clos to the C32/55. I sort of raced one a few weeks ago.

I was turning left onto a side street, a late model SVT cobra was turning right onto the same street, he eye'd me and punched it when he hit the straight. I definetly heard his exhaust go wild, I of course punched it and pulled hard catching up to him, riding his bumper until I had to slow down as to not bump him.

Not sure how accurate that is but I was confident of the win :lol:

Interesting. Are you sure it was an 03+? I've driven a few of these and I know that they are faster than my C32. I've seen a few get in the high 12s stock!

The 01 Cobra which looks somewhat similar to the 03 would definitely fall to the C32/C55.

(well at the time I was) I do like the 05/06 retor's waiting to see if they have a cobra/saleen version in the next few years, I did see an add for the yellow GTR (I think) looks like the boss style. as for the stat's Again, I am not claiming a true test race was just sharing the experience 8)

Yeah, I'm eagerly awaiting pics of the new Mustang Cobra. I bet they'll do a good job with it :D

I'm guessing a C55 would hold up to the 03+ cobra better than the C32. That 50ft/lb of extra torque has got to make a difference.

I have raced several cobras from the line and took most of them. The only one that really kept up was a supercharged one with upgraded brakes and he complained about not being able to put it all on the ground, I told him I knew how he felt.
